Good evening! It was a quiet morning at work. I exercised my option and left work early. I came on home - although I almost found myself involved in 2 accidents en route because of idiot drivers.
The first was because some doofus in an SUV decided to abruptly make a U-turn where one wasn't actually supposed to be made en route to I-55 and the line of traffic behind him/her had to stop quickly. I wasn't following too closely, but I looked after moving on and saw I had left a skid mark where I had stopped for the traffic in front of me!
The second was because another doofus in a Chevy Suburban came over in front of me out on I-55 with just barely enough room to clear me. I hit my horn to let the doofus know they almost got hit because of their idiotic decision. I don't know that they realized that my horn blast was for them or if they were too dumb to figure that out!
Well, I got on home, raised the garage door and pulled in and parked, then lowered the garage door back down. I unloaded my gear and came on inside, then got my stuff put away and changed clothes and had lunch.
This afternoon I turned on the TV and laid down and fell asleep watching Shepard Smith and woke up to find Glenn Beck on. I've since gotten up and gotten some things tended to.
Time for supper....

Update ~ Wednesday
It was a busy day at work. My co-worker had to attend a mandatory meeting in the afternoon; then he had to leave and go get his girlfriend from the hospital and take her home. He returned to work so that I could take my lunch at the time that was scheduled. I had a couple of projects assigned to me and I got what I could done with them.
When I left work, I stopped at the post office for the mail and found that my latest book from BOMC2.com had arrived. I gathered the package and the rest of the mail. Then I came on home, had supper and went through the mail. I've done a little reading; now I'm heading to bed.

Update ~ Tuesday
Today has been a busy day. I went to lunch early because I had a mandatory meeting to attend that was scheduled to last for basically the remainder of the afternoon. I ate my lunch more quickly than I anticipated; I went to that lengthy air conditioned corridor and walked several laps. By the time I returned to work, I calculated that I had walked 2 1/2 miles.
The meeting ended earlier than expected; however, it was somewhat intense. I went on back to work for a while. When I got home I hung out with Sukiey and visited with my housemate.
Time to head off to bed....another day looms in the morning!

Monday - What A Day....
I picked up a reimbursement check for medical expenses from the Business Office at work this morning. That left me with a couple of errands to run at lunch.
- I had to make a trip to my banking institution to cash the check.
- I had to stop at the post office to mail a package to a friend and I had some other pieces to go out as well
I hope the rest of the day remains quiet....

LSU Tigers ~ 2010 Baseball Season Over
LSU lost to UC-Irvine by a final of 4-3 this afternoon. They have nothing to be ashamed of as they were not supposed to even make the SEC Baseball Tournament - but they did and won that championship for the 3rd straight year. They were also not supposed to make the postseason - but they did.
Geaux Tigers - looking forward to the 2011 Baseball Season already!

Sunday ~ Update.....
I finally drug myself out of bed around 7:15 AM after a somewhat sleepless night. I had breakfast and read the newspaper, then went and got a move on and got ready to head for church.
My housemate and I rode together to FBCJ and she went to Sunday School while I went to Worship. We had the pastor of the Madison campus to preach this morning as our Senior Pastor has been out of town - in fact, out of the country, but he is back, and just wasn't in a position to take the pulpit this morning.
After Worship, I went to Sunday School while my housemate went to Worship. We had a good SS class today and I took a list of prayer requests to send out in our class e-newsletter.
My housemate and I met back up after and headed out. We met a friend for lunch at a local restaurant. After a nice visit, we came on home and have been chilling out this afternoon. I took a good nap, then after waking back up, I got busy and wrote the class e-newsletter, then I copied it to an e-mail and sent it out.
Seems like Monday is going to get here much faster than I would like; however I'm thankful to have a job to get up and go to in the morning.
Today's high, by the way, was 91 degrees; the heat index was 100.
Also, Governor Barbour quoted Napoleon Bonaparte on FOX News Sunday with Chris Wallace and it stuck with me. I thought it interesting, so I'm going to share it here....
"Never interfere with the enemy while he's in the process of destroying himself."
Time to go eat supper - hard to believe it's already that time!
