"In some ways, the NFL season officially began Monday in that it marked the first day teams began that weekly coaching kabuki that is the injury report. The Saints amended theirs almost as soon as Coach Sean Payton verbally delivered it, changing the status of wide receiver Marques Colston from limited to full. Colston, in a previously undisclosed ailment, was suffering from a bruised kidney. But he appeared fine when running routes during the brief portion of practice open to reporters, and Payton said the team was monitoring the situation and not unduly concerned. Colston himself, speaking later during an open locker room session, dismissed the whole matter and said he would be fine."
