Saints do have room for improvement
In the days and weeks after every NFL team’s season comes to an end, coaches and front office personnel search long and hard to uncover the things that kept their team from being successful.
Or, if they were fortunate enough to make the playoffs, they identify the things they need to do to improve and get over the hump the next season.
Some teams don’t have to dig very deep as their shortcomings show up from week to week during the long 16-game regular-season schedule.
Even the Super Bowl champion New Orleans Saints had things that needed to be addressed in between, of course, the various celebrations that ensued following their 31-17 victory over the Indianapolis Colts on Feb. 7.
