Heat Wave Update....Wednesday Morning

I have already brought Rusty in the house.  


At 10:15 AM it was 91 with a heat index of 108.


At 10:52 AM it is 92 with a heat index of 105.  


In an effort to keep air circulating throughout the house - after the issues with it getting warmer than we wanted yesterday - I have opened the hallway to den door and put the card table in the doorway on its side to block Sukiey and/or Rusty from coming into the areas of the house that we don't want them in.  


I think today's forecast high is 99 or100 - which will be a few degrees cooler than the past couple of days - and there's a 30% chance of isolated thunderstorms.


Currently in my bedroom, it's 76.5 degrees.  My housemate saw that yesterday evening it was around 77.8 when she came in and that's higher than it has been.  I told her that what we've done is about all we can do - short of going ahead and adding tinting film to the window - because it's just been so danged  hot over the past several days that the heat from outside is just making it so much warmer in the house.  


Hopefully keeping the hallway door open today will help the situation.  It's supposed to be cooling down later in the week.  I sure hope so - and we need some rain!
