"Brett Favre had maintenance on his surgically repaired left ankle after Saturday's preseason game with Seattle. The Vikings quarterback told Sports Illustrated's Peter King that he received an injection of lubricant in his ankle. "Like a grease fitting,'' Favre said. Favre gave King details about his latest surgery. The procedure, in late May, was performed by Dr. James Andrews in Florida. Favre said two incisions were made on the top of his left ankle and that "loose bodies" were sucked out.
