I did eat supper and finished reading Joshua while I was sitting at the den table. Later I went on to watch some of the Atlanta Braves v. Houston Astros game - which the Astros won.
I also started reading Judges and made it through chapter 7 before heading off to bed.
This morning I woke up about 7:45 AM - I slept in. I went on to prepare breakfast and read the newspaper while my housemate got ready and left for work.
At this point the big story of the morning is that there has been a plane crash in Alaska and 2 of the passengers are said to be former LSU Chancellor and NASA administrator Sean O'Keefe and former Alaska Senator Ted Stevens. It's been reported that there were 9 people on board and that there are 5 dead and 4 survivors, but no confirmation of this and the condition of O'Keefe and Stevens has been made yet. According to what FOX News is reporting, the weather in the area of the site of the plane crash was inclement at the time and it has hampered rescue/recovery efforts.
Rusty is still out on the patio at this time. The newspaper said that today's high is forecast at 102; my Weather Channel desktop says it's 89 with a heat index of 98 and humidity level of 61%. I will keep an eye on the heat and bring him in soon - before it gets real hot.
This is all for now....
