Sukiey woke me up about 6:30 AM and was pestering me, but I just wasn't ready to get up. I finally did get up about 7:00 AM. I learned why she was pestering me so much - she was trying to tell me that her food bowl was empty. I had to ease myself down to get a scoop of food and then put it in the bowl.
I went on out and fixed and ate breakfast; I was in the shower by the time my housemate was ready and leaving for work. So, we didn't see each other this morning.
I got finished in the shower, took 2 Tylenol E/S tablets [I was getting ready to leave myself; I couldn't take either of the prescribed pain meds as a result] and got dressed and ready to go out.
In the car, I headed for I-55 South and made my way to Richland and then had to do a little searching to find the FedEx facility there. I finally found it and pulled in and parked. I went inside and picked up the package that they were holding for me because of the fiasco from Friday.
The agent at the counter took the piece of paper I handed her with the tracking number on it and located the package in the computer, then went and got it. She asked for photo id - which I provided - and when she learned where I work, she informed me that I could've had the package redelivered to a FedEx facility that's only 2 or 3 blocks from my office building and I could've picked it up there. I told her that no one I spoke with mentioned that to me so as to make that an option. I asked her for information on where the place is located and she gave it to me. I'll hang on to the piece of paper for future reference.
Had I known about the option to have the package redelivered to the FedEx facility near where I work, I would've taken that - I could've stopped by there and picked it up before or after attending One Great Lunch Break at FBCJ. But, I didn't know about that option!
I left with the package and headed back towards home and stopped at the post office; I don't know that all of the mail was up - I doubt it was. The only item in my mail box was a piece of junk.
When I returned home, I opened the carton and removed the box containing the phone, then unpacked the contents of it. I put the battery in the phone, then connected it to the charger and left it to fully charge up, with the plan of activating the phone later.
I went on to do some other things - made some calls on my old phone and also laid down for a little while and watched TV. Later I went and checked on the phone and found it was fully charged. So, I set things in motion to activate the phone. I used my housemate's home phone and called the number and activated the phone; then used her phone to call AT&T and ask for help getting the contacts copied from the old phone to the new one. The person I spoke with even called me on the new phone to make sure I could receive calls.
I've packed up the old phone and put it away. The new phone is active and working. I've also eaten lunch and I took one of the pain meds after the Tylenol E/S wore off.
This is all I've got for now - I'll be laying back down and getting some rest shortly.
