"Brett Favre decided not to announce his retirement last week after pleas from the Vikings organization and players to reconsider, Foxsports.com reported Monday. The 40-year-old quarterback, who is weighing whether to return after offseason ankle surgery, reportedly had sent text messages to teammates saying he was retiring because of health concerns.
