Today [Thursday]

My back is still bothering me and it's only 2 weeks till I have to travel to my home state of Louisiana for my cousin's wedding.  My housemate has been telling me to contact my doctor about getting my back checked out.  I finally gave in and called this morning and left a message for the nurse.

then I left home and stopped at the post office for the mail and to mail something to a friend.  Then I headed in to work.  There were no spots in the parking lot, so I went into the garage.  I brought my gear into work, but it wasn't time for me to report, so I went down the street and got something for lunch.

While I was doing that, I checked my cell phone and found that the nurse had called me back and left a voicemail.  I hadn't heard the phone ring or vibrate.  Well, when I got my order and got seated, I called the doctor's office back and got in contact with the nurse.  They wanted to see me, so I made an appointment Friday at 9:30 AM.  I plan to go to the doctor's office before coming in to work in the morning - and I'll also go and get any prescriptions filled or whatever else I need to do done too.

It seems that as long as I take 2 extra strength Tylenol, it calms the pain down, but I can't live on taking Tylenol, now can I?!  I don't know what to expect at tomorrow's visit.

Then, I learned this afternoon that I can take off early on Saturday to go to a birthday dinner party with the circle of friends at a local restaurant.  This will include my housemate's birthday.  Her's is actually next week, but there are 3 in the circle having birthdays this month and so they're being celebrated jointly.

We're supposed to be receiving significant rainfall this weekend - Friday and Saturday, anyway.  That's what's forecast.  The good side of it is that it'll keep the temperatures down.

I guess this is all I have for now....
