METAIRIE — It was barely 48 hours before the New Orleans Saints were to begin defense of their Super Bowl title, and there was quarterback Drew Brees sitting in the team’s media room Tuesday, holding a news conference to tell fans how he wants to coordinate a pregame cheer this season.
