40-year-old QB Jeff Garcia officially joins UFL
Brett Favre wasn't the only 40-year-old QB going back to work on Wednesday.
Four-time Pro Bowler Jeff Garcia on Wednesday signed on with the Omaha Nighthawks of the UFL.
Garcia played in one game last season for the Philadelphia Eagles. He was linked to the Minnesota Vikings last week -- while the team was waiting for Favre to decide if he would play -- although coach Brad Childress denied there was interest in Garcia.
The UFL now counts Garcia and Daunte Culpepper as ex-Pro Bowl QBs in the league this season. His teammate in Omaha will be former Packers RB Ahman Green. Garcia will be eligible to rejoin an NFL after the UFL season completes in November.
