It's 6:40 PM and I'm back with another heat wave update. During the 6:00 PM news, meteorologist Eric Law said that Jackson set a record today.
The actual high temperature for today [August 2nd] was 105 degrees. That broke a record - 102 set back in 1947. The record stood for 63 years.
Currently it's 94 with a heat index of 107 and a humidity level of 55%. Indications are that there is the possibility of a heat related shower or thunder storm. That would be great!
