Set to begin practice, Miles, Tigers look to get back to top

Thirty-one months ago, LSU coach Les Miles hoisted the crystal Bowl Championship Series trophy on the floor of the Louisiana Superdome.
The Tigers became the first team in the BCS era to win multiple national titles. They celebrated the next chapter of the most successful run in the storied history of LSU football.
Now, Miles leads a program yearning for respect.
Or so it seems.
“I’ve never taken the field as an underdog at LSU, just so you know,” Miles said recently. “The understanding somebody would say that, that’s their opinion.”
