As the pastor stepped to the pulpit, a young Adam Wainwright began counting.

The preaching continued, and so did the counting inside Wainwright's head.
328 ... 329 ... 330 ...
"As long as he kept talking, I would keep counting," said Wainwright, a member of the National League team in tonight's All Star Game. "There were times when I got up almost to 1,000, which is really embarrassing.
