HOOVER, Ala. — Les Miles says his team is ready to begin winning championships again. Those who cover the Southeastern Conference aren’t convinced.
A record 177 voters at SEC Media Days picked LSU to finish fourth in the Western Division, marking the first time since 2000 the Tigers weren’t projected first or second.
“If you spend your time worrying about where people perceive you to be, you’re going to be in trouble,” Miles said. “Where the media picks us has no bearing on where we finish.”
Entering his sixth season as LSU coach, Miles took his turn behind the microphone Friday as SEC Media Days concluded.
