I left work and headed home. When I got there and inside the house, I knew my housemate had been home and had left again - most likely for the fitness club. I went on to change clothes - and was finishing up doing that when she returned. Since I had called and let her know that the solar curtains came in, she stopped while she was out and purchased a tension rod to hang them up with.
We got in my bedroom and worked on getting them hung up. I accomplished this task. We wanted to see how they would look from the outside and I was going to go out in the front yard and check, but she wouldn't let me because of what I was wearing - short shorts and a tank top.
We went on to eat supper; we noticed that the temperature was up in the hallway and in my bedroom - 76 and 77 degrees, respectively. At 8:30 PM outside it was 98 with a heat index of 105. I didn't check the outside temperature, but an hour later, the inside temperatures had dropped back down to 74 and 74.8 respectively.
Not much else went on after the business of putting up the curtains. I called and spoke with a friend in Texas for a few minutes, then went on to bed. After all, I had an early call this morning!
This is all for the moment....
