LSU football: Tigers receive commitment from punter for 2011

BATON ROUGE, La. - LSU received its 13th committment for the 2011 recruiting class when junior college punter Dalton Botts pledged for the Tigers Sunday.
Botts, 6-feet-4 and 205 pounds, averaged 34 yards per kick at Bakersfiled College last season and is transferring to Moorpark College in Moorpark, Calif., north of Los Angeles, where he will also play quarterback.
Botts' stock soared after strong performances at Chris Sailer's kicking camp in Las Vegas and the Top 12 Elite Camp in Sherman Oaks, Calif. LSU coaches saw tape of Botts and offered him a visit.
LSU, offered a scholarship to Botts during his visit last weekend and he accepted.
