After leaving work, I came on home; as I pulled in the driveway, I raised the garage door and then pulled inside and lowered the door back down.
I unloaded my gear and came on in the house. I had no idea what time my housemate would be home since she was out of town but was to return Sunday night. I went on to check on Rusty - he didn't need any food as he hadn't finished up what I had given him for breakfast. I went on to have my own supper and then cleaned up behind myself.
I was in my bedroom watching TV and on the computer when my housemate came in. It was about 8:15 PM when she got in. A little later I got off of the computer and went to work on getting ready the printed copies of my SS class newsletter to go out in the mail - I had sent the e-mail out - and also got a couple of other things ready to go in the mail. I was sitting at the den table when she came back out of her bedroom and into the den.
We talked briefly - she said she was going back out to get something for supper since she didn't have anything that she wanted here at the house. So, she left and went to do that.
I was still at the den table when she returned a little later. She sat down and ate; we got a chance to talk and catch up on what had been going on while she was gone over the weekend. I shared with her about how Rusty had done and about my stepping on Sukiey. I also shared with her - as she asked - about how my first weekend shift went.
She told me that she had had a pleasant drive back from her son's home. It had been better than previous drives back. She also shared with me about the trip itself. I told her that we had prayed for her corporately in Sunday School and she said she should've known someone was praying for her because she was sitting in a church in the city where she was visiting and the pew was uncomfortable [she has back issues] and they eased up, then she had the pleasant drive back home.
We soon got ourselves ready and headed off to our bedrooms. I went on to bed after getting Sukiey settled down.
